Mom & Me (dads are welcome, too)
Children 2 years old
Mom & Me is a delightful experience introducing toddlers, along with their
parents, to the joys of music. Through singing, chanting, moving and playing
instruments, children will discover the beginning of how music works. The
different qualities of music come alive in fun and playful activities.
The musical play-group will not only offer your child all the benefits that
music brings to their development, but also will provide them the
opportunity to learn sharing, taking turns and other age-appropriate social
skills.
Parents participate in all Mom & Me classes. |

Introduction To Music
|
Intro 1:
Children 3 years old (Pre-school)
Intro 2: Children 4 years old (Pre-K)
Intro 3: Children 5 years old (Kindergarten) |
During
these three sequential learning years, children will understand the basics
of playing the piano/keyboard and reading music.
This
progressive program develops rhythm and listening skills and encourages the
many facets of music in a fun, active way: singing, moving rhythmically,
listening, playing instruments and expressing music with creative movement.
Knowledge of different composers and their work is fun learning when
children “act out” their music! |

Music
Theory and Recorder
Music Theory 1: Children 6-7 years old
(1st grade)
Music Theory 2: Children 7-8 years old
(2nd grade)
In these two sequential learning years, children will deepen their
knowledge and enjoyment of music.
Building
upon
the music foundation from the previous years, children will master the
understanding of reading and writing music and playing the
piano/keyboard.
In addition, children will learn to play the recorder, giving us one
more element for our music ensemble.
In the second year, children will get a glimpse of how music has evolved
throughout history, from primitive music to rock and roll.
Short musical plays and performances are included to enhance the child’s
self-confidence and enjoyment of music.
